1. What We Collect
- Account data: your email address and subscription status
- Usage data: how many transcription hours you have used
- Transcript data: your transcript text, corrections, and personal vocabulary — stored encrypted with your key
2. What We Don't Collect — Audio
We do not collect, store, or retain your audio. Your recording is processed in memory on our servers and discarded the moment your transcript is complete. We have no copy of your audio. We cannot play it back. This is a technical guarantee, not just a policy.
3. Your Content — You Own It
Your transcripts belong to you. We claim no ownership over any content you create using Khulasa. We store it only on your behalf and only for as long as you want us to.
4. Encryption & Zero Standing Access
Your transcripts and corrections are encrypted with a key unique to your account before being stored. We do not retain your decryption key in a form that allows us to read your data. Our team cannot access your transcript content without your explicit action.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to provide the Khulasa service. We do not sell your data. We do not use your transcripts to train AI models without your explicit opt-in.
6. Subprocessors
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — United States: transcript segments sent to Claude Haiku to apply corrections and generate summaries.
- RunPod — United States: GPU compute for Whisper transcription. Audio processed in memory and immediately discarded.
- Paddle — United Kingdom: Merchant of Record for billing.
10. Your Rights Under PDPL (Saudi Arabia)
Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, receive data in portable format, withdraw consent, and object to processing.

12. Data Retention
We retain your account data and transcripts until you delete your account. We never auto-delete transcripts — deletion is always your choice. Audio is never retained.
